Danced on tabletops!
Oct. 31st, 2011 08:39 pmMOFO FIC IS FINISHED. WOOO. Well, more or less. Might tweak it a bit tonight and then off to Gati it is. /dead
Was at work all day yesterday, which was all kinds of awesome if exhausting. People go crazy on Sundays, y'all. It's kind of like full moons and werewolves, methinks. Sundays and people = OMG STORES OPEN ON A SUNDAY WHAT IS THIS MADNESS WE MUST GO. Was a good day, though, met the rest of my colleagues, so now I've met them all. I got gangpressed into buying ticket for the annual Christmas Lunch (in November, wtf), discussed with a woman about trhe prices of toys (the toys department goes under the electronics, for some reason, wooo.) and got a laugh out of the clocks being set to winter time - apparently, the timer on the lights at the store hadn't been adjusted, so at 4pm, the lights and all the televisions, consoles and computers went out. Luckily, not the cash register, or I'd have been really sad since I was the one responsible for that yesterday. But anyway, we walked around in relative darkness for the last hour of the shift. I was pretty amused.
I also totally just pre-ordered the Adele live DVD coming out in late November. I also bought Wind In The Wires, because, seriously. Christmas presents for myself ♥
Anyway, I'm gearing up for J-popcon in the second weekend of November, which shall be awesome as always, but I'll be out of costume all weekend, sadly. I'll be helping out again, and since we're shorthanded this year, I'll be full-time. So, yay? I'll probably be manning the karaoke graveyard shifts again, which is hilariously awesome, Karamelldansen notwithstanding. (Which, honestly, is one of the best parts of the entire con - if the song is played while in the dealer room, everyone just sort of drops what they're holding and starts dancing, myself included. Last year? You can totally hear one of my friends singing in the background xD)
Now, dinner or something and then fic. Yes.
Take care, loves!
