Drabble: Oraya 45 + 46

Satoshi was laughing, and Nino blinked in wonder. This was a young Satoshi, at ease, and he was with two other persons. Nino instantly noticed the telltale dark eyes and black markings.
He saw flashes of Satoshi kissing someone, intimacy being displayed right in front of his eyes, brief images of a life Nino wasn’t a part of. He saw love and tenderness, someone loving Satoshi as much as he deserved.
“I’m sorry,” Satoshi said to someone with beautiful markings adorning their face, and the look on Satoshi’s face was heartbreaking.
He saw tears, Satoshi leaving, more tears, black clothes and a red scarf, and even more tears.
A veiled expression and a goodbye that felt final.

Nino was alone when he awoke, and a tear leaked from the corner of his eye, down past his temple and into the pillows, and throughout the rest of the quiet night, he wept for a past he knew someone mourned.
